This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use StoreShot on macOS. We believe the best privacy policy is the shortest one — so here it is.

What We Collect

We collect anonymous usage statistics to understand how people use StoreShot and to make the app better. This includes things like:

• Which features are used (e.g. templates created, exports performed)
• How often the app is opened
• Whether users see the subscription screen

Every user is identified by a random anonymous ID. We cannot identify you, your device, or your Apple ID from this data. It's like counting people entering a store without knowing who they are.

What We Never Collect

• Personal information (name, email, Apple ID, phone number)
• Your screenshots, templates, or project content
• Device identifiers or serial numbers
• Location data
• Crash reports or diagnostics

Data Stored on Your Device

All your work — templates, projects, screenshots, and settings — is stored locally on your Mac. We never see it, access it, or transmit it. You control where it lives and can delete it anytime.

Subscription & Payment

Subscriptions are processed exclusively by Apple. We never receive or store your payment information, credit card details, or billing address.

Third-Party Services

StoreShot uses the following services:

• Apple Inc. — In-App Purchase processing and subscription verification
• PostHog — Anonymous usage analytics (GDPR-compliant, cookieless)
• AI Translation Service — Only when you explicitly initiate a translation

None of these services receive any personally identifiable information.

Your Rights

You control all your data. Uninstalling the app removes everything. No account, no cloud sync, no hidden tracking.
